Welcome to Trezor Suite®
Trezor Suite® is the official platform designed by SatoshiLabs to help you manage your Trezor hardware wallet with advanced security and ease. Whether you're new to crypto or an experienced investor, Trezor Suite empowers you to safely store, send, receive, and manage digital assets.
This guide will walk you through the steps to get started, install the suite, connect your device, and follow best practices for security.
System Requirements
- Windows 10+, macOS 10.15+, or Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora)
- Google Chrome, Firefox, or Brave browser
- USB cable that supports data transfer
- Stable internet connection
- Trezor device (Model T or Trezor One)
1. Downloading Trezor Suite
You can choose between the desktop app or web version. For maximum security, it's recommended to use the desktop version.
Make sure to download only from the official site to avoid fake or malicious versions.
2. Installing and Launching
After downloading the desktop app:
- Run the installer and follow on-screen instructions
- Launch the application from your programs list or desktop
- Ensure no conflicting apps (like other wallet apps) are open
3. Connecting Your Trezor Device
Plug your Trezor device into your computer using the USB cable. You may be prompted to confirm connection via your Trezor screen.
If it’s your first time, follow the on-screen instructions to install any required firmware updates.
4. Creating or Recovering a Wallet
Create New Wallet
- Select “Create new wallet” on Trezor Suite
- Your device will generate a unique recovery seed
- Write down the 12/24-word seed and store it offline (not on your phone or PC)
Recover Existing Wallet
- Select “Recover wallet”
- Enter your recovery seed via the Trezor device screen (not your computer)
- Wait for wallet restoration to complete
5. Setting a PIN and Passphrase
After creating or restoring a wallet, you’ll be asked to set a PIN code. This protects your device if it’s ever lost or stolen.
Optionally, you can enable the passphrase feature, adding an extra layer of security. Each passphrase acts as an entirely separate wallet.
6. Exploring the Trezor Suite Interface
Once signed in, the Suite interface will show:
- Dashboard: Portfolio overview and balance summary
- Accounts: Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other supported coins
- Receive: Generate fresh receiving addresses
- Send: Securely send assets to other wallets
- Settings: Customize security, interface, and device options
Security Tips
- Always verify addresses on your Trezor screen
- Do not screenshot or photograph your recovery seed
- Enable auto-lock and strong PIN codes
- Only enter your PIN on the Trezor device itself
- Beware of browser extensions or pop-ups asking for seed words
Troubleshooting
Device Not Detected?
